Comberton Crusaders FC - founded 1988
Comberton Crusaders FC was formed in the Football League Centenary Year 1988.
100 years earlier Preston NE were the first Football League Champions.
They wore button up shirts, knee length shorts and heavy moustaches.
When Crusaders started in 1988 Liverpool were reigning champions.
Kenny Dalglish was player manager, appearing less having signed Peter Beardsley.
And yes the shorts were a lot shorter!

Moving forward to the '90's Iain Morrison was Chairman in 1994-95.
Jackie Treodorczyk was Secretary and Martin Wright Treasurer.
Committee: Steve Pugh, Terry Jordan, Peter Loynes, Sue Lewis, Sue Wright, & Steve Duff.
In the 1995-96 season the lineup included:
U10 Steve Duff, U14 Steve Pugh, U15 John Runnalls & U16 Tony Treodorczyk
